When should cloth be replaced?

Uneven speed, directional drift, polished or fuzzy areas, burns, tears and loose cloth at cushion openings are common signs. Colour fading alone does not necessarily mean performance is finished.

Correct removal and preparation

During removal, cushions, pockets, fastening surfaces and bed joints are inspected. Dust, adhesive residue and level errors must be corrected before new cloth is installed.

Stretch direction and cushion covering

Cloth must be stretched according to weave direction and table discipline. Excess tension stresses fibres; insufficient tension causes wrinkles and speed variation.

Information needed for service

Provide table type, dimensions, city, floor access, photos, cushion and pocket condition and preferred colour. Service pricing includes labour, preparation, covering, levelling and travel conditions—not cloth alone.

Manufacturer note

Every room, table and service requirement is different. Final dimensions, materials, prices and application decisions should be based on verified technical information or a site survey.

Frequently asked questions

How often should billiard cloth be replaced?

There is no fixed interval. Usage, cloth quality, cleaning, humidity, sunlight and performance changes must be assessed together.

Is table levelling checked during cloth replacement?

A professional service should inspect bed joints, frame support, cushions and level. New cloth must not hide an existing structural problem.
